Bachelor of Forestry Science (B. For. Sc.)

The Bachelor of Forestry Science (B. For. Sc.) is one of the three undergraduate programmes offered at the Faculty of Forestry since 1973. The objective of the programme is to produce graduates who are professionally trained to assess, plan and manage forest resources as well as the implementation of various activities in the forestry sector. The graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills together with the use of current technology to efficiently manage forest resources based on the principles of sustainable forest management.

Bachelor of Wood Science and Technology (B. Wood Sc. Tech.)



The Bachelor of Wood Science and Technology (B. Wood Sc. Tech.) was introduced in 2006 to meet the critical needs of the timber industry in Malaysia (although courses in wood science and technology have existed since 1971). The objective of this programme is to produce trained manpower in the field of wood processing and manufacturing management, including the use of the latest information and current technology. Specifically, this programme will produce graduates knowledgeable in the management of forest resources, wood-based manufacturing technology and wood materials, as well as competent managers in wood processing and manufacturing.

The Bachelor of Parks & Recreation Science is the first recreation resource and management undergraduate programme in Malaysia that will produce graduates specializing in the field of tourism, park conservation and management.
