A total of 42 Form 4 students from 12 states and 2 federal territories have successfully participated and competed in the Nature Education Camp (or KEMPAS) 2013. The 8-day competition was held from 23-30 November 2013 at the Sultan Idris Shah Forestry Education Centre (SISFEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia located in the Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve, Puchong.
The KEMPAS is an annual event jointly organised by the Faculty of Forestry, Universiti Putra Malaysia and Ministry of Education Malaysia and ExxonMobil subsidiaries in Malaysia with Berita Harian being the official media for the event. The closing ceremony of KEMPAS 2013 was attended by YBhg. Tuan Haji Zainudin Abas, Director of the Co-curricular and Arts Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia who officiated the event and presented prizes to the winners. YBhg. Prof. Datin Dr. Faridah Hanum Ibrahim (the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry), Mr. Hazizi Hassan (Business Planning and Analysis Manager at ExxonMobil) and Mr. Ridzuan Yop (Editor of Education News at Berita Harian) are among the guests who attended the ceremony.
Our heartiest congratulations to all the winners especially to SMK Putrajaya Presint 16 (1) that won the 1st prize. The 2nd and 3rd prizes were won by SMK Trolak from Perak and SMK Bertam Indah from Pulau Pinang, respectively.
